Roll20 Product in Development
Coming Soon
Hey everyone, I have been hard at work on a digital toolkit for QuestCrawl that really makes the online version of the game super fun and easy to play. It works like this: Roll20 supports custom character sheets, so we built one for QuestCrawl, easily. They also support exportable game boards, so I made a custom deck (for hex, square coming soon) and put all the rules into handouts. Finally, they support API scripts (called mods), and this is where the rubber hits the road.
I have been able to program all of the game’s commands and rules in, so a group of players starting out can get right into the game. Macros allow you to quickly reset and generate new islands, start a new game with the currently logged-in players, and look around if the chat has moved on too far. I am looking into different methods to get compensated for the work I have done here.
The API script and character sheets will be downloadable here with your standard QuestCrawl purchase, and the custom deck and board will be for sale on Roll20. I will make early access available to those who want to help playtest. Comment here if that is something you would be willing to do.
